About me
Born/Raised: Glendale, California
Why did you decide to become a hairstylist? I fell in love with doing hair when I was a young child. It helps that my mom does hair too! It makes me feel good to make people happy about their hair.
What are your specializations? I specialize in straightening and smoothing. I love the challenges of totally transforming the look of the hair.
What advice do you give? Maintenance is so important. So is having the right products at home.
What is your secret talent? It’s not really a secret, but I love to cook. It is so rewarding seeing my family and friends eat together at the table.
What do you do in your spare time? I spend time with my husband and children. I like to go to the beach and swim.
Favorite quote? “Worry is like a rocking chair. It will give you something to do, but it won’t get you anywhere.”
Special community or beauty events? We participate with the San Marino Chamber of Commerce, and host a mixer every year at the salon. Now I’m on the Board of Directors of the Chamber, and I’m really excited about serving businesses in San Marino. Visage had a Cut-a-thon in October to raise money for “Look Good Feel Better,” a non-profit that helps patients deal with the physical aspects of cancer.
What else would you like us to know about you? Here at Visage, I like to make sure we all keep up with the latest cuts and styles. We take more time on our consultations and really listen to our clients. When clients feel heard, it builds a trust and they’re excited to wear their style or color.
